Luckily it was a fairly clear evening with just a few clouds.
I was able to take a few photos but with my limited photo taking skills they didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. I was hoping you could see the craters in the photos but when a flash went off the moon just looked a dot. Without the flash, if I zoomed in too much it looked like I was taking photos straight into a lighbulb.
I did get a couple of shots that show the clouds illuminated and you can see Jupiter as the small dot to the lower right of the moon.
Maybe we won't have to wait another 20 years to see it again.

I think your photos are really good! I totally forgot about the harvest moon last night - wish I had remembered though. I didn't even hear any of the news/weather people mention it up here.
Good pics. Looks like you had a better night for shooting photos of it. It was way too cloudy here. I thought the dot was Jupiter oops...I lied to Facebook fans. haha.
What beautiful and heavenly photos you got of the Harvest Moon last night. I went out side to see it. I am so glad you captured it in all its glory. The clouds really framed it to perfection.
Kim it was Jupiter. I knew it but for some reason typed Venus. Thanks for pointing the mistake out.
